What do I need to know to work with Wander & Bloom?
Before I can book any travel, I need some required information from you. If you are a new traveler, please fill out a NEW TRAVELER PROFILE FORM. You can find this form above under FORMS. Fill the form as completely as possible so I have all pertinent information handy to make your reservations. Once I receive your form, I can start working on your travel plans, taking into consideration your schedule and saving Kelso-Burnett money where possible. I may have to email you several times so please keep the lines of communication open so I can confirm all reservations, dates and times of travel, rates and travel preferences. I will need verbal or written approval from you before ticketing any air reservations and/or nonrefundable hotel or car reservations.

If you have a new travel request, please fill out the travel request form (in the forms area above) and I will get back to you ASAP with travel information. How do I book airline tickets with you?
Please fill out a trip request form or email me with your dates of travel, where you are going, preferred travel times, and other necessary information needed to book air tickets. I will help you find flights and get the best price based on current pricing. Please be as specific as possible with your travel plans so I know your requirements and preferences.
It is important I get hold of you quickly if you are booking flights, as fares and availability change constantly and are not guaranteed until ticketing. I also need to go over airline supplier cancellation/change policies, seat and baggage requirements, etc. with you before ticketing can be done. NOTE: Because many tickets are nonrefundable, I need a verbal or written confirmation from you approving travel times and fares before I am able to ticket any reservations. Note: There is a $20 agency ticketing fee to book and issue all domestic airline tickets.

Airline Change/Cancellation Policies
Most lower priced economy airline tickets are nonrefundable but may be changed except basic economy tickets, which are 100% non-refundable/non-changeable. I willl not price basic economy tickets because they are so restrictive, unless specifically requested. Some tickets have a change fee; others have waived their change fee but you may have additional costs if the price of the ticket goes up between when it was originally booked and when you change it. Please know that these airline fees are dictated by the airlines and are beyond our control.
If a ticket is nonrefundable and you need to cancel, you will have a flight credit with the airline, which I can use for future travel. Any airline ticket issued by Wander & Bloom/Plaza Travel will be on file with our agency and must be rebooked with our agency in order to use the flight credit. There is a $15 agency ticketing fee to change an existing ticket.

What about international reservations?
If you are traveling internationally, I will need a photocopy of your passport. The name of your airline tickets must match your passport exactly. It is important you understand that when booking international hotel and car reservations I can lock in a rate but you are subject to the exchange rate at the time of check-in, which fluctuates daily. Note: There is a $50 agency ticketing fee to book and issue international airline tickets.

Can I book hotel & car with Wander & Bloom?
Absolutely! I can book hotels, vacation rentals, or whatever lodging you need for your business trip. I can also book car rentals and other ground transportation for you. If at all possible, I will always try to book National/Enterprise car rentals to take advantage of the Kelso-Burnett corporate discount program.

What about Covid?
Covid restrictions change daily but I have special software to keep track of updated regulations. If you are traveling in the future, I will update your itinerary seven days before departure, then again 72 hours prior to departure with updated information. It is important you check your itinerary so you know before you go, as some destinations, even in the US, still have restrictions in place.

How do I get a receipt?
Flight receipts will be posted to the documents section of your itinerary; if you do not receive one, please email me and I will forward you a copy. You should receive a copy of all hotel and car rental receipts from the supplier upon checkout or the receipt will be emailed to the email on file. If you do not receive an itinerary, you may be able to access your bill through your rewards account. If you still do not receive a receipt, contact me and I will request a receipt from the supplier for you.

How can I save money on airfare?
For airline tickets, the earlier you book reservations, the more availability there will be in the lower priced seats. The lowest fares are those booked 21+ days prior to departure. Last minute tickets are almost always more expensive.

How can I save money on hotels?
For hotel reservations, we look at several corporate travel rates (THOR, FROSCH, and ABC), as well as hotel loyalty pricing, AAA rates, and senior citizen rates where applicable to find you the best rate. Although there may sometimes be a lower rate for pre-paid reservations, we generally advise against booking those as they are usually nonrefundable/nonchargeable and limit the flexibility required for corporate travel. If you are going to a destination and your dates/times are 100% locked in, we can look at prepaid rates where applicable. If you are staying at a hotel for a long term stay (7 or more days) I will look at a long term rate for you in a suite-style hotel so you can make a home away from home.

How Can I save money on car rentals?
Right now, there is a nationwide shortage of rental cars. Because of this, there is less availability and the rates are 50-75% higher than they normally are. I will try my best to book the National/Enterprise Kelso-Burnett corporate discount rate when possible, but if there are no vehicles available, I will book the lowest rate available. When booking car rentals, it is always advisable to bring the car back to the rental facility with a full tank of gas.
